Today's harvest: 2 Matt's Wild Cherry, Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe (new), Golden Mama
I forgot to mention that my wife gave liquid vitamin B1 to several of our plants with leaf curl on Thursday. Nyagous looks particularly bad. Obviously, we hope some of these plants recover.
Last night I noticed that SunSugar, Jaune Flamme, Jaune Coeur de Pigeon and HuskyCherry Red(1) have maturing tomatoes. The volunteer tomato is looking like it will be dark – Brown Berry perhaps?
Happy Father'sDay to all the fathers out there!

Harvested Black Cherry!
Today's harvest: Black Cherry (new), SunGold
Yesterday I was mumbling about drizzle. Well, this morning we had rain, enough rain to wet the ground.
On Wednesday my wife took out the sweet peas against the "koi pond" fence. This will expose SunGold to much more sun than before. In fact, SunGold looks pretty stringy. I'm a bit surprised at the SunGold harvest so far -- the plant itself doesn't look all that great.
Crimson Cushion now has a growing tomato. I believe the only plants without growing tomatoes (three of them) are in the back yard cutout.
The volunteer in the raised bed has a maturing tomato.

Harvested Golden Mama!
Today's harvest: 2 SunGold, Matt's Wild Cherry, Golden Mama (new)
My wife saw today's harvest and put them all on the kitchen windowsill. She thought they were all harvested a day too early. Oh well.
What's with the weather? Yesterday it got up to 87.1 and today it's gray, cool and drizzling. Strange.
My wife completed watering the back and front yards yesterday, but this watering was for other plants and vegetables at our house.
We'll also be harvesting Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe any day now.

Japanese Black Trifele Is Maturing
Today's harvest: Matt's Wild Cherry
Not much to report today. A couple of Japanese Black Trifele tomatoes are beginning to ripen.
My wife finished up watering the tomatoes on Monday.
I believe a Golden Mama tomato is within 2 days of harvesting. A Black Cherry tomato is within 3 days of harvesting.

Mexico Has Tomatoes; Husky Cherry Red(2) Has A Maturing Tomato
Today's harvest: 2 Matt's Wild Cherry
As noted, I now know how to harvest Matt's Wild Cherry. If it is dark red and underneath shadows, wait one more day. The two harvested today were picked at the right time.
Mexico has two very tiny growing tomatoes.
People suffering under a heat wave back east may not believe this, but yesterday was the first day in about three weeks were we got above 80 degrees in the San Fernando Valley. It's been three weeks of gray, clouds and a little drizzle. Several plants have suffered from the lack of warm weather. We need more of this! Remember this in thirty days or so when I complain when it's over 100 degrees.

Learning How To Harvest Matt's Wild Cherry
Saturday's harvest: 2 Matt's Wild Cherry
I harvested 2 Matt's Wild Cherry at the bottom of the plant. They were dark red underneath the plant, but the color was orange-red after I brought them in the light. No big deal. I'll put them on the counter and let them ripen for another day.
Pineapple now has a tomato.
My wife let me know that she purchased Sweet 100 as a replacement for our Negro Azteca. Negro Azteca was very gray and clearly did not look like it would provide any fruit.
I noticed that a Bloody Butcher and a Black Cherry tomato is maturing.
Sunday's harvest: Matt's Wild Cherry.
After harvesting a bit too quickly with a couple of tomatoes, I brought a flashlight with me today. I looked at the bottom of the plant, found a dark red one, harvested it and it looked orange-red when out from under the plant. Not quite ready yet.
Oh well.
My wife planted Sweet 100. We spent a lot of time deep watering the front and back yard tomatoes. We did not complete the watering in either yard, however.
A Golden Mama tomato is maturing.
Today's harvest: SunGold
I saw similarly maturing Matt's Wild Cherry tomatoes that this time I left on the vine!
