Today's harvest includes 10 Husky Cherry Red(2), 8 SunSugar, 7 Chocolate Stripes(2) (9.5 ounces, 6.5 ounces) (new), 7 Husky Cherry Red(1), 7 Matt's Wild Cherry, 4 Stupice, 3 SunGold(1), 3 Black and Brown Boar, 3 Green Grape, 3 Creme Brulee, 2 Indian Stripe, 2 Bloody Butcher, 2 Paul Robeson(1), 2 Japanese Black Trifele, 2 Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, Large Pink Anna(2) (6 ounces) (new), Black Cherry, Jaune Coeur de Pigeon and Volunteer(1) for a total of 69 tomatoes.
I spent a long time this morning fishing out all the maturing tomatoes from the middle of the two Husky Cherry Red plants. It's surprising how dense these plants can get! I got all the mature ones out after about 10 minutes or so.
My wife has been using cloth to cover some of our tomatoes. She told me that SunGold(2) was wilting, but a protective cloth and some water and the plant was fine. After today's harvest I asked her to put a cover over Chocolate Stripes(2) as the tomatoes were getting scalded. She came back with seven of the tomatoes! I was quite surprised. She stated that they were ready for harvest. She was right, they were soft. Too soft. My wife will use these tomatoes for sauce.
Yesterday it got up to 101 at Pierce College. Today it was only a few tenths of a degree cooler for the high temperature.
Being that we picked three plants pretty clean of maturing tomatoes, I don't expect tomorrow's total to be as high as today.
Maturing tomatoes include Cassidy's Folly, Kellogg's Breakfast and Green Zebra(2). Except Green Zebra(2) isn't Green Zebra(2) -- the maturing tomato is red!

Harvested Four New Tomatoes!
Today's harvest includes 8 SunSugar, 7 Matt's Wild Cherry, 5 SunGold(1), 3 Black Cherry, 2 Green Doctor's Kiwi(2) (new), 2 Husky Cherry Red(1), 2 Husky Cherry Red(2), 2 Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, 2 Black and Brown Boar, 2 Black Krim(2), 2 Stupice, 2 Green Grape, 2 Indian Stripe, Green Zebra(1) (new), Black Seaman(2) (new), Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red (6 ounces) (new), Vorlon (7 ounces), Honkin' Big Black Cherry, Japanese Black Trifele, Pierce's Pride and Volunteer(1) for a total of 49 tomatoes.
I forgot to mention that Green Doctor's Kiwi(2) was maturing. But Green Zebra(1) was a surprise. I noticed it last night and harvested this morning.
My wife and I tried Black and Brown Boar last night. It wasn't as full of flavor as we're used to from a Wild Boar Farms tomato. My wife described it as a bit soapy and I have to agree. We'll try other ones just to be sure -- perhaps this particular tomato was a little overripe. It is (was) a beautiful looking tomato.
The maturing tomatoes on Oaxacan Jewel(1) may never be harvested. The plant looks bad from leaf curl. The few maturing tomatoes are ripe in the shoulders with a green underside -- the opposite of how a tomato usually ripens. Also they're quite tiny.
I harvested a Patio today. But the tomato was malformed with too big a hole in it. I threw it out.
I believe a Green Zebra(2) is maturing.

Harvested Black and Brown Boar!
Today's harvest includes 8 SunSugar, 6 Matt's Wild Cherry, 3 SunGold(1), 3 Creme Brulee, 3 Husky Cherry Red(2), 2 Black and Brown Boar (new), 2 Bloody Butcher, 2 Volunteer(1), 2 Stupice, 2 Paul Robeson(1), Black Cherry, Japanese Black Trifele, Golden Mama, Vorlon (9 ounces), Husky Cherry Red(1), Indian Stripe, Pierce's Pride, Honkin' Big Black Cherry and Jaune Flamme for a total of 42 tomatoes.
I spent a fair amount of time in the evening staking and taping tomatoes under the lemon tree. The tomato plants in this section are notable for two things. 1) They are very tall. Most are 5 1/2 to 6 feet tall. A branch on Orange and Green Zebra is nearly seven feet tall. Already. Fruit is everywhere. 2) No harvested tomatoes in this area. The tide is coming...
Yesterday we tried a Lime Green Salad. We both found it a tad mushy, but we also agreed I may have harvested it a bit early.
The nine ounce Vorlon harvested today is a beautiful looking tomato. A typical brown tomato with green shoulders, but beautiful.
More maturing tomatoes include Chocolate Stripes(1) and Black Seaman(2).

Harvested Three New Tomatoes!
Today's harvest includes: 10 SunSugar, 4 Paul Robeson(1), 3 Black Cherry, 3 Stupice, 3 Indian Stripe, 2 Creme Brulee, 2 SunGold(1), 2 Bloody Butcher, 2 Honkin' Big Black Cherry, 2 Green Grape, 2 Volunteer(1), 2 Japanese Black Trifele, 2 Matt's Wild Cherry, Vorlon (new), Haley's Purple Comet (new), Australian Giant Oxheart (new), Golden Mama, Husky Cherry Red(1), Jaune Flamme, Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, Lime Green Salad and Pierce's Pride for a total of 48 tomatoes.
Haley's Purple Comet was a bit of a surprise. I noticed it yesterday evening. The mature tomato was well hidden. As you now know, I decided it was ripe enough to harvest.
More plants have tomatoes that are maturing. They include Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, Black and Brown Boar and Paul Robeson(2). I'm sure there are others not listed here.

Harvested Pierce's Pride and Lime Green Salad!
Today's harvest includes 5 SunSugar, 3 Stupice, 3 Volunteer(1), 3 SunGold(1), 2 Pierce's Pride (new), 2 Black Cherry, 2 Paul Robeson(1), 2 Indian Stripe, 2 Japanese Black Trifele, 2 Husky Cherry Red(2), Lime Green Salad (new), Creme Brulee, Husky Cherry Red(1), Green Grape and Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe for a total of 31 tomatoes.
My wife spent most of the day watering both the front yard and back yard tomatoes. Some of the back yard plants started to lean and I supported/resupported them as best I could without getting too muddy.
Large Pink Anna(2) and Patio are now maturing.

Harvested Paul Robeson(1) and Indian Stripe!
Today's harvest: 6 Stupice, 5 Creme Brulee, 3 SunSugar, 3 Black Cherry, 2 Volunteer(1), Paul Robeson(1) (new), Indian Stripe (new), SunGold(1), Green Grape, Matt's Wild Cherry and Bloody Butcher for a total of 25 tomatoes.
My wife and I had a bit of a tomato tasting last night as well. We liked all the tomatoes except Golden Mama. The flavor for Golden Mama is contained with the skin...which tells you all you need to know about that tomato. The interior was near tasteless. All the others were very good, Black Krim being the best.
Both the newly harvested Indian Stripe and Paul Robeson look good.
You can add Chocolate Stripes(2) to the list of maturing tomatoes.

Harvested Four New Tomatoes; Planted SunGold(2)
Saturday's harvest: 3 Creme Brulee, 3 SunGold(1), 3 Matt's Wild Cherry, 2 SunSugar, Black Krim(2) (new) Japenese Black Trifele (new), Husky Cherry Red(1), Golden Mama and Jaune Coeur de Pigeon for a total of 16 tomatoes.
Today's harvest: 7 SunSugar, 6 Creme Brulee, 4 Stupice (new), 2 SunGold(1), Green Grape (new), Jaune Flamme, Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, Japanese Black Trifele, Husky Cherry Red(1), Matt's Wild Cherry, Volunteer(1) and Honkin' Big Black Cherry for a total of 27 tomatoes.
Yesterday we picked up another SunGold to place in the spot formerly occupied by Nyagous. We got it planted this morning.
I've been doing a fair amount of staking, training and taping on Friday and Saturday. A couple plants are already approaching six feet tall.
Several more plants have tomatoes that are maturing. I don't think I can list them all but here are what I remember off the top of my head: Vorlon, Australian Giant Oxheart and Oaxacan Jewel.
We tried Creme Brulee this morning and we both liked it a lot. A mild, sweet flavor with the tomato taste coming at the end. Two thumbs up! I tried our Jaune Coeur de Pigeon and it was only okay. The tomato is normally good, but this plant is not. We both tried the Volunteer(1) and liked it, but we don't recognize the flavor.
Our Manchester Terrier picked off a ripening Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe last night and ate it.
This afternoon we put a small cage on the second volunteer. It has buds on it. I will be including it on our online spreadsheet shortly.
Black From Tula has a growing tomato on it! We are now down to only two plants without tomatoes. On wait, we just planted another SunGold, so we still have three plants without tomatoes.
