Today's harvest includes 77 Matt's Wild Cherry, 10 Husky Cherry Red(2), 7 Garden Peach, 7 SunGold(1), 5 Snow White, 4 Golden Mama, 4 Sweet 100, 4 Husky Cherry Red(1), 3 Bloody Butcher, 2 Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, 2 Coyote (not Coyote), 2 Jaune Flamme, 2 Green Zebra(2) (not Green Zebra), 2 Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, Dr. Wyche's Yellow, Pineapple, SunSugar, Kellogg's Breakfast, Oaxacan Jewel(2), Green Grape, Sweet Carneros Pink, Honkin' Big Black Cherry, Persimmon (10 ounces) and Green Zebra(1) for a total of 141 tomatoes.
We've now harvested over 2000 tomatoes for the month of August (2061)! That number right there would make for a solid month and we're only on day 12. And that's mostly due to one plant, Matt's Wild Cherry, (803) making up nearly 39% of the total. Both my wife and I agree that we prefer this tomato to Red Currant. Good tasting tomato and lots of them. We've now harvested over 1600 Matt's Wild Cherry tomatoes for the year (1624).
A SunGold(2) is maturing.

Harvested Speckled Roman (not Speckled Roman)
Today's harvest includes 75 Matt's Wild Cherry, 19 Husky Cherry Red(2), 14 SunGold(1), 8 Haley's Purple Comet, 5 Husky Cherry Red(1), 5 Garden Peach, 5 Coyote (not Coyote), 4 Green Zebra(2) (not Green Zebra), 3 Crimson Cushion(2) (6.5 ounces), 3 Sweet 100, 3 Persimmon (9 ounces, 12.5 ounces, 8 ounces), 2 Snow White, 2 SunSugar, 2 Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, 2 Orange And Green Zebra, Speckled Roman (new) (not Speckled Roman), Green Zebra(1), Bloody Butcher, Golden Mama, Pineapple, Dr. Wyche's Yellow, Black Krim(1), Cassidy's Folly, Green Grape, Stupice and Oaxacan Jewel(2) for a total of 163 tomatoes.
Well, we harvested Speckled Roman...but it's not Speckled Roman. It's orange. The shape can pass for a Speckled Roman -- perhaps it's Banana Legs -- but it sure looks like the Persimmon we grow, named by the Tomato Lady of Beverly Hills. Strange. Looking on the Internet, Banana Legs is clearly yellow but the tomato I picked is orange in color. Whatever it is, it's not Speckled Roman.
We've now harvested over 6000 tomatoes for the year (6064)! And we've now harvested over 1000 tomatoes in the front yard for August. Based on the strength of the Matt's Wild Cherry harvest, our August numbers could be the best we've ever had. Stay tuned.
We've now harvested over 400 Husky Cherry Red(2) tomatoes (417) and over 1500 Matt's Wild Cherry tomatoes (1547).

Harvested Over 3000 Front Yard Tomatoes!
Today's harvest includes 68 Matt's Wild Cherry, 13 Husky Cherry Red(2), 9 Husky Cherry Red(1), 9 SunSugar, 7 Garden Peach, 6 SunGold(1), 6 Snow White, 4 Coyote (not Coyote), 3 Cassidy's Folly, 3 Green Zebra(2) (not Green Zebra), 2 Green Grape, 2 Persimmon, 2 Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, Crimson Cushion(2), Pineapple, Sweet 100, Sweet Carneros Pink, Green Doctors Kiwi(2), Husky Gold, Pink Berkeley Tie Dye, Patio, Haley's Purple Comet, Green Zebra(1) and Golden Mama for a total of 145 tomatoes.
We've now harvested over 3000 tomatoes in the front yard! However, nearly half of them are Matt's Wild Cherry, a very small tomato. Also, we've now harvested over 200 SunGold(1) tomatoes.
The key thing in today's harvest numbers is that no tomato weighs at least 6 ounces. There are only a few beefsteaks left to harvest.
My wife watered the back yard tomatoes.
A Speckled Roman is maturing.

Harvested Over 1400 Matt's Wild Cherry Tomatoes!
Today's harvest includes 74 Matt's Wild Cherry, 19 Husky Cherry Red(2), 12 Snow White, 11 Garden Peach, 8 SunSugar, 8 Husky Cherry Red(1), 7 SunGold(1), 5 Dr. Wyche's Yellow (6 ounces, 6 ounces, 6 ounces), 4 Orange And Green Zebra, 4 Persimmon (7.5 ounces, 14 ounces, 10 ounces), 4 Green Zebra(2) (not Green Zebra), 3 Oaxacan Jewel(2), 3 Coyote (not Coyote), 3 Haley's Purple Comet, 2 Porkchop, 2 Large Pink Anna(2), 2 Cassidy's Folly, 2 Honkin' Big Black Cherry, 2 Green Grape, 2 Jaune Flamme, Sweet 100, Crimson Cushion(2), Aunt Ruby's German Green(1), Green Doctors Kiwi(2) and Golden Mama for a total of 182 tomatoes.
Wow, that harvest bumped up a bit! Some plants have gotten a second wind (SunSugar, the Husky Cherry Red plants) but Matt's Wild Cherry should start tapering off soon.
We've now harvested over 1400 Matt's Wild Cherry tomatoes (1404)!
My wife watered a lot of the tomato plants. She watered in the tomatofertilizer in all the container plants and watered most, if not all of the front yard. She also pulled out three tomato plants in the front yard -- German Orange Strawberry, Indian Stripe and Black Seaman(1).
There won't be too many beefsteaks harvested after today. There's a few more left but they have dwindled to a handful.

As mentioned previously, the volume is dropping somewhat dramatically...

Harvested Sweet 100!
Saturday's harvest includes 55 Matt's Wild Cherry, 31 Snow White, 9 Garden Peach, 6 Husky Cherry Red(2), 5 Orange And Green Zebra, 4 Husky Cherry Red(1), 4 Haley's Purple Comet, 3 SunSugar, 3 SunGold(1), 3 Large Pink Anna(2), 3 Green Grape, 2 Portuguese Neighbor, 2 Dr. Wyche's Yellow (6 ounces), Sweet 100 (new), Golden Mama, Jaune Flamme, Large Pink Anna(1), Chocolate Stripes(1), Aunt Ruby's German Green(1), Pineapple (14 ounces), Kellogg's Breakfast (7.5 ounces), Cassidy's Folly, Oaxacan Jewel(2), Crimson Cushion(2) (7 ounces), Australian Giant Oxheart (9 ounces), Hungarian Heart (11 ounces) and Husky Gold for a total of 144 tomatoes.
I was going to write how Sweet 100 isn't Sweet 100...but the apparently orange tomatoes turned red. These tomatoes are nickel sized. I've never seen Sweet 100 tomatoes this large, but I don't have a better label for them...so Sweet 100 it is!
I added fertilizer to all the container plants.
A few days ago my wife spent all day in the kitchen making tomato chutney. She's trying to keep up with all the harvested tomatoes!
I walked around with my wife and told her about six tomatoes that can be pulled.
Today's harvest includes 46 Matt's Wild Cherry, 28 Snow White, 15 Garden Peach, 5 SunSugar, 5 Husky Cherry Red(1), 5 Husky Cherry Red(2), 3 Haley's Purple Comet, 3 Orange And Green Zebra, 3 Green Zebra(2) (not Green Zebra), 2 Large Pink Anna(2), 2 Sweet 100, 2 Cassidy's Folly, 2 Persimmon (14 ounces, 10 ounces), Bloody Butcher, SunGold(1), Green Grape, Michael Pollan, Kellogg's Breakfast, Dr. Wyche's Yellow (7 ounces), Oaxacan Jewel(2), Paul Robeson(2) (8.5 ounces), Coyote (not Coyote) and Hungarian Heart (7 ounces) for a total of 131 tomatoes.
Today we spent most of the day with a fellow TomatoManiac family. They came over to do some home repairs and to join us for dinner. We had some barbecue chicken as well as Paul Robeson, Hungarian Heart and Persimmon. I can vouch for Persimmon, excellent tomato. My wife continues to love Hungarian Heart, again claiming it is her favorite red tomato.
All in all a very busy weekend. Our dryer was modified to accept a new washing machine. Many of our outlets were fitted with some insulation. And an eight foot window blind was hoisted in front of our garage in the hopes of deflecting some of the intense heat. Our barbecue had some added support. Our screen door on the back door was removed to prepare fixing it.
My wife using a food dehydrator to dehydrate tomatoes. The test isn't complete but our taste tests indicate it will be a success.
