Today's harvest includes 25 SunGold, 20 Snow White(2), 14 Sweet 100, 8 Snow White(1), 8 Husky Cherry Red(1), 7 Black Cherry(2), 5 SunSugar, 5 Husky Cherry Red(2), 5 Black Cherry(1), 4 Sweet Baby Girl, 4 Nyagous(1), 3 Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, 2 Speckled Roman(3), 2 Redfield Beauty, 2 Gypsy, 2 Ramapo, 2 Noire Charbonneuse(2), 2 Delicious, 2 Porkchop(1) (7 ounces, 7 ounces), Speckled Roman(1), Chinese Tea, Speckled Roman(2), Olga's Round Yellow Chicken Egg, Red Currant, Oaxacan Pink, Creme Brulee, Garden Peach, Italian Heirloom (11 ounces), Indigo Apple(2) and Omar's Lebanese (11.5 ounces) for a total of 133 tomatoes.
And yesterday got up to 106.3 degrees. The blistering heat wave continues. This heat appears to be pushing Snow White tomatoes to maturity as well as keeping the SunGold numbers higher than I would expect.
My wife has been battling a cold and a possible sinus infection. A couple tomato recipients came by our house to pick up tomatoes as opposed to my wife driving to their residences to drop off tomatoes.
My wife pulled out Nyagous(2). Now Creme Brulee can also be pulled.
We've now harvested over 200 SunSugar tomatoes (202) and over 100 Sweet 100 tomatoes (107) this year.

Harvested Over 8000 Tomatoes This Year!
Today's harvest includes 28 SunGold, 13 Snow White(2), 8 Snow White(1), 5 Sweet Million, 3 Sweet 100, 3 Chinese Tea, 3 Delicious, 3 Black Cherry(1), 3 Black Cherry(2), 3 SunSugar, 3 Sweet Baby Girl, 3 Husky Cherry Red(1), 2 Speckled Roman(3), 2 Husky Cherry Red(2), 2 Redfield Beauty, 2 Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, 2 White Zebra, 2 Nyagous(2) (not Nyagous), 2 Big Zebra (8.5 ounces, 11 ounces), Black Krim(1) (8 ounces), Kellogg's Breakfast, Porkchop(1), Indigo Apple(1), Oaxacan Jewel (8 ounces), Olga's Round Yellow Chicken Egg, Ella's Pink Plum, Creme Brulee, Pineapple Pig (8 ounces), Pink Furry Boar, Crimson Cushion, Italian Heirloom, Amazon Chocolate, Noire Charbonneuse(2), Marmara, Red Boar(1), Ramapo (7 ounces), Jaune Flamme(2) and Porkchop(2) for a total of 111 tomatoes.
My wife watered some of the back yard tomatoes yesterday. Short of that, it got up to 106.7 at Pierce College so there's not much that could have been done without a lot of effort.
It looks like a couple more tomato plants can go (Big Zebra, Nyagous(2)) and others not far behind (Creme Brulee). While doing the harvest I broke a large Husky Cherry Red(2) branch that was laying in the pathway. Darn it..
We hit several 2012 numbers today. We've now harvested over 8000 tomatoes for the year (8038), over 5000 tomatoes from the back yard this year (5033) and over 3000 tomatoes from the front yard (3005)!
We've now harvested over 1000 tomatoes for August (1086). Also, we've now harvested over 100 Snow White(2) tomatoes (107) for the year.

Today's harvest includes 23 SunGold, 18 Black Cherry(1), 10 Husky Cherry Red(1), 6 Sweet Baby Girl, 6 Snow White(1), 5 Black and Brown Boar(2), 5 Creme Brulee, 5 Husky Cherry Red(2), 4 Garden Peach, 3 SunSugar, 3 Snow White(2), 3 Black Cherry(2), 3 Pineapple(1) (12 ounces, 17 ounces, 13.5 ounces), 3 Speckled Roman(3) (6 ounces), 3 Noire Charbonneuse(2), 3 Sweet 100, 2 Big Zebra, 2 Indigo Apple(1), 2 Chinese Tea, 2 Gypsy, 2 Indigo Rose, 2 Ramapo, 2 Pineapple Pig (10 ounces), 2 Nyagous(2) (not Nyagous), 2 Berkeley Tie Dye, 2 Redfield Beauty, White Zebra, Vorlon (12 ounces), Black and Brown Boar(1), Olga's Round Yellow Chicken Egg, Matt's Wild Cherry, Sweet Million, Red Currant, Yellow Perfection, Pink Furry Boar, Nebraska Wedding (9 ounces), Yellow Furry Boar, Purple Dog Creek (8 ounces), Italian Heirloom (6 ounces), Amazon Chocolate, Marianna's Peace (6.5 ounces), Indigo Apple(2) and Red Boar(1) for a total of 140 tomatoes.
My wife made 8 jars of tomato jelly yesterday. Also, she watered more of the back yard and pulled out Brown Berry. Here's an image of the tomato jelly jars:
The harvested Pineapple(1) tomatoes look really nice!
At dinner we tried Big Zebra. This was the 19 ounce tomato harvested last week. We both liked it a lot! Beautiful to look at, tasty, tangy and delicious, leaving a slight acid aftertaste.
We've now harvested over 4500 tomatoes in the back yard this year (4600). Also, we've now harvested over 400 Black Cherry(1) tomatoes (407), 150 Red Currant tomatoes, over 100 Sweet Baby Girl tomatoes (105) and over 50 Black and Brown Boar(2) tomatoes (54).

Today's harvest includes 33 SunGold, 20 Black Cherry(1), 13 Husky Cherry Red(2), 10 Sweet Baby Girl, 9 Husky Cherry Red(1), 6 Snow White(2), 5 Snow White(1), 5 Garden Peach, 5 Noire Charbonneuse(2), 4 Porkchop(1), 4 Indigo Rose, 4 SunSugar, 4 Pink Furry Boar, 4 Black Cherry(2), 4 Black and Brown Boar(2), 3 Black Krim(2) (6 ounces), 3 Gypsy, 3 Ella's Pink Plum, 2 Red Currant, 2 Carmello, 2 Big Zebra (6 ounces, 7 ounces), 2 Nyagous(2) (not Nyagous), 2 Ramapo, 2 Speckled Roman(3), 2 Yellow Furry Boar, 2 Indigo Apple(2), 2 Black and Brown Boar(1), 2 Jaune Flamme(2), 2 Purple Dog Creek (10 ounces, 11 ounces), 2 Berkeley Tie Dye (6 ounces), 2 Redfield Beauty, 2 Jaune Flamme(1), Nyagous(1), Pierce's Pride(1), Olga's Round Yellow Chicken Egg, Sweet Million, Marianna's Peace (12 ounces), Big Bite, Yellow Perfection, Marmara (6.5 ounces), Creme Brulee, Delicious (6 ounces), Amazon Chocolate, Earl of Edgecombe, Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red and Green Grape for a total of 181 tomatoes.
On Monday my wife watered the front yard tomatoes. Yesterday she got to some of the back yard tomatoes and pulled out Pink Berkeley Tie Dye(2).
In the evening we tried a taste test between Brad's Black Heart and German Orange Strawberry. Going in we thought German Orange Strawberry would win because Brad's Black Heart was a little soft. Turns out the opposite occurred -- Brad's Black Heart was the clear winner. Brad's Black Heart was delicious, with a deep, complex, juicy and a bit winey tasting tomato. German Orange Strawberry wasn't quite ripe enough. And it "suffered" from a problem that sometimes occurs with larger heirlooms -- the maturity level varied within the tomato. Parts of the tomato were ready to eat and parts of it weren't quite there. We're big fans of German Orange Strawberry. It's just that parts of this particular tomato wasn't quite ready.
Here's a picture of the two tomatoes, with some crackers and round mozzarella cheese slices. The glare on the German Orange Strawberry slices makes it look a bit like egg yolks, but it's all tomato slices.
We've now harvested over 2100 SunGold tomatoes (2114) and over 7000 tomatoes (7133) this year!

Harvested Over 6000 Tomatoes This Year!
Today's harvest includes 40 SunGold, 33 Black Cherry(1), 28 Husky Cherry Red(1), 16 Husky Cherry Red(2), 8 Black Cherry(2), 8 Snow White(1), 6 Indigo Rose, 6 Black and Brown Boar(2), 6 Yellow Perfection, 6 Snow White(2), 5 Pink Furry Boar, 5 SunSugar, 5 Garden Peach, 5 Nyagous(2) (not Nyagous), 4 Green Grape, 4 Amazon Chocolate (7.5 ounces, 8 ounces), 4 Thessaloniki (7 ounces), 3 Creme Brulee (6 ounces, 6 ounces), 3 Redfield Beauty, 3 Black Krim(2), 2 Speckled Roman(2), 2 Brown Berry, 2 Black and Brown Boar(1), 2 Earl of Edgecombe, 2 Marmara (6 ounces, 6 ounces), 2 Noire Charbonneuse(2), 2 Speckled Roman(3), 2 Yellow Furry Boar, 2 Crimson Cushion, Marianna's Peace (16 ounces), Chinese Tea, Watermelon (8 ounces), Black Krim(1) (8 ounces), Nebraska Wedding (9 ounces), Pink Berkeley Tie Dye(2), Jaune Flamme(1), Indigo Apple(1), Big Zebra, Olga's Round Yellow Chicken Egg, Japanese Black Trifele, Taxi, Purple Dog Creek (10.5 ounces), Persimmon (11 ounces), Red Boar(2) and Jaune Flamme(2) for a total of 232 tomatoes.
I'm a little surprised that the numbers have stayed as solid for this long. SunGold is finally starting to fade but the two Black Cherry and the two Snow White plants have picked up the slack.
The tomato sizes are starting to dwindle and the plants are looking ragged. Noire Charbonneuse(1), Chinese Tea and Pink Berkeley Tie Dye(2) may not last much longer. However, many plants will have a second wind. Sweet Baby Girl already has a second wind and has maturing tomatoes again.
My wife watered the back yard containers.
We've now harvested over 3000 tomatoes in the back yard for the month of July (3151) and over 6000 tomatoes for the year (6187).

Harvested Big Zebra!
Today's harvest includes 44 SunGold, 30 Black Cherry(1), 18 Husky Cherry Red(1), 15 Husky Cherry Red(2), 13 Snow White(1), 7 Black Cherry(2), 6 Indigo Apple(1), 4 SunSugar, 4 Garden Peach, 3 Indigo Rose, 3 Berkeley Tie Dye (9 ounces, 8.5 ounces), 3 Red Currant, 3 Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, 3 Yellow Perfection, 3 Pink Berkeley Tie Dye(1) (6.5 ounces, 8 ounces), 3 Redfield Beauty, 2 Dr. Wyche's Yellow (7.5 ounces, 7.5 ounces), 2 Amazon Chocolate (7.5 ounces, 8 ounces), 2 Nebraska Wedding (12 ounces, 7 ounces), 2 Big Bite (9.5 ounces, 6 ounces), 2 Ramapo, 2 Pink Furry Boar (6 ounces), 2 Nyagous(2) (not Nyagous), 2 Noire Charbonneuse(2), 2 Nyagous(1), 2 Speckled Roman(3) (7 ounces, 7 ounces), 2 Speckled Roman(2), 2 Matt's Wild Cherry, 2 Thessaloniki, Big Zebra (new) (19.5 ounces), Jaune Flamme(2), Olga's Round Yellow Chicken Egg, Black and Brown Boar(1), Pierce's Pride(1) (9 ounces), Marianna's Peace (8 ounces), Taxi, Pink Berkeley Tie Dye(2) (6 ounces), Jaune Flamme(1), Italian Heirloom (6.5 ounces), White Zebra, Black From Tula (6 ounces), Chinese Tea, Noire Charbonneuse(1), Porkchop(1) (10.5 ounces), Purple Dog Creek (8 ounces), Oaxacan Jewel (9 ounces), Brad's Black Heart (10 ounces), Black Krim(2) (9 ounces), Creme Brulee (9.5 ounces), Oaxacan Pink (6 ounces), German Orange Strawberry, Yellow Furry Boar, Delicious, Earl of Edgecombe, Watermelon and Snow White(2) for a total of 215 tomatoes.
The harvested Big Zebra is a beauty! My wife was crowing about how beautiful it looked.
I took a look at Neves Azorean Red this morning. The plant isn't too tall but it has a few unripe tomatoes. I haven't paid any attention to it because nothing's maturing on the vines. However, a week ago I thought the same thing about Earl of Edgecombe until I took a look at it and found several slightly overripe tomatoes.
My wife watered parts of the back yard yesterday.
We've now harvested over 1800 SunGold tomatoes for the year (1843). And we've now harvested over 3500 tomatoes in the back yard (3569) and over 5000 tomatoes for July (5091).

Today's harvest includes 66 SunGold, 37 Black Cherry(1), 22 Husky Cherry Red(1), 16 Husky Cherry Red(2), 11 Black Cherry(2), 7 Yellow Perfection, 7 Snow White(1), 6 Indigo Apple(1), 5 Garden Peach, 5 Indigo Rose, 4 Chinese Tea, 4 Snow White(2), 4 Amazon Chocolate (7 ounces, 10 ounces, 6.5 ounces, 8.5 ounces), 3 Redfield Beauty, 3 Pink Furry Boar, 3 Yellow Furry Boar, 3 SunSugar, 3 Ramapo (8 ounces, 8.5 ounces, 8 ounces), 3 Creme Brulee (6 ounces), 3 Nyagous(2) (not Nyagous), 2 Black and Brown Boar(2), 2 Brad's Black Heart (10 ounces), 2 Black Krim(2) (6 ounces, 6 ounces), 2 Green Grape, 2 Black From Tula (11 ounces), 2 Thessaloniki, 2 Gypsy, 2 Marmara, 2 Pierce's Pride(1) (7 ounces, 11 ounces), 2 Marianna's Peace (10.5 ounces, 11 ounces), 2 Amana Orange (12.5 ounces, 9.5 ounces), Noire Charbonneuse(1), Berkeley Tie Dye (6 ounces), German Orange Strawberry, Paul Robeson, Black Krim(1) (10 ounces), Nyagous(1), Dr. Wyche's Yellow (6 ounces), Persimmon (13.5 ounces), Oaxacan Jewel (13 ounces), Sweet Million, Sweet 100, Ella's Pink Plum, Oaxacan Pink (9 ounces), Speckled Roman(3), Indigo Apple(2), Delicious (9.5 ounces), Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, Taxi and Jaune Flamme(2) for a total of 256 tomatoes.
I realized yesterday afternoon that I had missed the second to back row in the back yard cutout. I made it a point to go there today and found some good Amazon Chocolate, Black Cherry(2) and Ramapo tomatoes.
My wife watered some of the front yard tomatoes yesterday.
After today's harvest I told my wife that Paul Robeson was done. She pulled it out about 20 minutes later.
Other than that, Black Cherry and Snow White are keeping our numbers high. We like both tomatoes, so this is great!
A Big Zebra tomato is maturing. And I need to take a look at Neves Azorean Red, I don't know what the heck is happening with that plant. I know we haven't harvested anything for this one.
We've harvested over 200 Black Cherry(1) tomatoes (220) and 100 Garden Peach tomatoes. Also, we've now harvested over 2000 front yard tomatoes in July and over 5500 tomatoes for 2012 (5739).

Harvested Italian Tree!
Today's harvest includes 70 SunGold, 25 Black Cherry(1), 24 Husky Cherry Red(2), 19 Husky Cherry Red(1), 12 Snow White(1), 9 Garden Peach, 7 SunSugar, 6 Yellow Perfection, 4 Japanese Black Trifele (6 ounces), 4 Black From Tula (7 ounces, 9 ounces, 7.5 ounces), 3 Black Krim(2) (7.5 ounces, 6 ounces), 3 Black Cherry(2), 3 Redfield Beauty, 3 Carmello (6 ounces), 2 Persimmon (14 ounces, 23 ounces), 2 Creme Brulee (7.5 ounces), 2 Olga's Round Yellow Chicken Egg, 2 Earl of Edgecombe (6 ounces, 7 ounces), 2 Black and Brown Boar(2), 2 Italian Heirloom (13 ounces, 7.5 ounces), 2 Amazon Chocolate (10 ounces, 9 ounces), 2 Speckled Roman(3), 2 Nyagous(2) (not Nyagous), Italian Tree (new) (13 ounces), Green Grape, Pineapple Pig (9 ounces), Brown Berry, Marianna's Peace (9.5 ounces), Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, Red Boar(2), Jaune Flamme(2), Amana Orange, Pierce's Pride(1), Paul Robeson, Oaxacan Pink (8.5 ounces), Indigo Apple(2), Matt's Wild Cherry, Indigo Rose, Indigo Apple(1), Noire Charbonneuse(1), Gypsy (7 ounces), Ramapo (8 ounces), Nyagous(1), Pink Berkeley Tie Dye(1), Kellogg's Breakfast (11 ounces), Black and Brown Boar(1), Dr. Wyche's Yellow, Berkeley Tie Dye, Porkchop(1) (9.5 ounces), Pink Furry Boar for a total of 237 tomatoes.
The Italian Tree tomato is a nice looking thing but the trouble is that this may be the only tomato to come off this plant. I don't see any others.
Speaking of which, it's been 3 weeks since we've harvested from Sweet Baby Girl but it's making a comeback.
Again, the Persimmon tomatoes look beautiful.
Finally, the Black Cherry(1) harvest starts to get heavy.
We've now harvested over 3000 tomatoes from the back yard this year (3095).

Today's harvest includes 72 SunGold, 23 Husky Cherry Red(1), 19 Husky Cherry Red(2), 12 Black Cherry(1), 9 Garden Peach, 7 Snow White(1), 5 Yellow Perfection, 4 Carmello (6 ounces), 4 Jaune Flamme(2), 4 SunSugar, 4 Nyagous(2) (not Nyagous), 4 Black From Tula (9 ounces, 8 ounces, 9.5 ounces), 3 Speckled Roman(3) (7 ounces), 3 Yellow Furry Boar (6.5 ounces), 3 Pink Furry Boar (6 ounces), 3 Matt's Wild Cherry, 3 Brown Berry, 2 Black and Brown Boar(2), 2 Delicious (6 ounces, 6 ounces), 2 Red Currant, 2 Yellow Currant, 2 Black and Brown Boar(1), 2 Indigo Rose, 2 Dr. Wyche's Yellow (7 ounces, 7.5 ounces), 2 Crimson Cushion (8 ounces), 2 Green Grape, 2 Snow White(2), 2 Brad's Black Heart (12 ounces), 2 Japanese Black Trifele (8 ounces), 2 Creme Brulee (7 ounces), 2 Jaune Flamme(1), 2 Watermelon (8.5 ounces, 10.5 ounces), Noire Charbonneuse(1), Noire Charbonneuse(2), Berkeley Tie Dye, Vorlon (10 ounces), Speckled Roman(2) (6 ounces), Pineapple Pig (17 ounces), Oaxacan Jewel (12.5 ounces), Gypsy, Marmara (6 ounces), Black Krim(1) (9.5 ounces), Black Krim(2), Pink Berkeley Tie Dye(2) (7.5 ounces), Persimmon (14 ounces), Italian Heirloom (9 ounces), Taxi and Marianna's Peace (9 ounces) for a total of 228 tomatoes.
My wife will appreciate fewer harvested tomatoes today. Yesterday she completed the watering of the back yard tomatoes but otherwise spent the whole day processing and giving away tomatoes. It was an all day job and understandably she was a bit overwhelmed by the end of the day.
This morning we taste tested Yellow Furry Boar and Creme Brulee. Yellow Furry Boar was a nice, smooth tasting milky yellow tomato. But our collective socks were knocked off by Creme Brulee. The taste really can't be condensed down into a simple description. I find it to be a great combination between both a red tomato (tomato taste) with a brown tomato (smooth, smoky undertones). Both flavors are there but neither dominates. Both tomatoes worked but Creme Brulee was just outstanding.
A Red Boar(2) is maturing.
We've now harvested over 1400 SunGold tomatoes for the year (1446). Also, we've now harvested over 2000 back yard tomatoes in July (2065), over 3500 overall for the month (3674) and over 4500 for the year (4538).

This is what "high tide" looks like. What a harvest!
My wife now has a part time job just processing all the tomatoes. You name it, she's making it. She spent most of the day filling up 6 quart jars of tomatoes.
I showed my wife the harvested Oaxacan Pink and she believes for now there's a difference between the labeled Oaxacan Pink and Oaxacan Jewel. We'll see.
There are so many good looking tomatoes in today's batch I don't even know where to begin.
Maturing tomatoes include Nebraska Wedding and a yellowing tomato I have yet to identify.
We've now harvested over 1000 SunGold tomatoes this year (1004) and over 400 Husky Cherry Red(1) tomatoes (409). Also, we've harvested over 1000 tomatoes from the front yard in July (1021) and over 3000 overall for the year (3186).

Harvested Six New Tomatoes Today!
Today's harvest includes 49 SunGold, 21 Husky Cherry Red(1), 21 Husky Cherry Red(2), 11 Black Cherry(1), 7 Sweet Million, 5 Matt's Wild Cherry, 5 Red Currant, 4 SunSugar, 3 Sweet 100, 3 Nyagous(1), 2 Snow White(1) (new), 2 Dr. Wyche's Yellow (18.5 ounces, 7 ounces), Speckled Roman(1) (new), Creme Brulee (new), Jaune Flamme(2) (new), Tolstoi (new), Black and Brown Boar(2) (new), Noire Charbonneuse(1), Speckled Roman(2) (6 ounces), Ella's Pink Plum, Yellow Perfection, Carmello, Yellow Furry Boar and Taxi for a total of 145 tomatoes.
The Dr. Wyche's Yellow is a beauty. I hope to get an image over the next day or so.
The Speckled Roman(2) is another beauty. It has more of the "hand grenade" girth that I love to see. The Speckled Roman(1) has some blossom end rot but still looks pretty good.
The new Snow White(1) tomatoes are not as ivory colored as I'm used to seeing. They're more whitish than ivory in color.
Black and Brown Boar(2) is another nice looking tomato. We weren't too thrilled with it last year. But this tomato looks very, very nice.
Tomorrow we'll be harvesting Black From Tula. I was quite tempted to harvest one or two but held off.
I don't know if I've ever harvested six new tomatoes in one day. I think that's a new one for me.
Here's an image of some pickled tomatoes my wife made last night.
The tide is coming in! I don't think we'll get to this total over the next couple of days, but the tide is coming in.
We've now harvested over 300 SunGold tomatoes (333) this year.

Five More Plants With Growing Tomatoes!
Today's harvest: 2 Husky Cherry Red(1) and Husky Cherry Red(2) for a total of 3 tomatoes.
I completed the back yard watering yesterday evening and spent some time training the back yard tomato plants as well.
This morning I spent about a half hour training the front yard tomato plants.
Tomato plants with new tomatoes include: White Zebra, Persimmon, Creme Brulee, Pineapple Pig and Red Boar(1).

13 Seedlings Planted, Sinking Seedlings Fixed
Today my wife made it a point to catch up with the tomato planting.
She planted Black and Brown Boar, Snow White, Yellow Furry Boar, Speckled Roman(3), Garden Peach, Watermelon, Earl of Edgecombe, Vorlon, Red Boar(2) and Creme Brulee in the holes I had previously dug out and filled. She fixed 15 tubs around the seedlings that had sunk. She also planted Matt's Wild Cherry in a pot.
I came home after work and made two more holes in the back yard. My wife planted Delicious and Oaxacan Pink in these holes.
My wife says we're starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel in regards to getting all the seedlings planted. If all goes well we'll have it done by this weekend. But it could bleed into the beginning of next week.

Harvested Six New Tomatoes!
Today's harvest includes 8 SunSugar, 4 Husky Cherry Red(2), 4 Stupice, 2 Black Krim(1) (6 ounces) (new), 2 Orange and Green Zebra (new), 2 Dr. Wyche's Yellow (9 ounces) (new), 2 Cassidy's Folly (new), 2 Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, 2 Black And Brown Boar, 2 Creme Brulee, 2 Green Grape, 2 SunGold(1), Big Zebra (new), Patio (new), Aunt Ruby's German Green(2) (new), Haley's Purple Comet, Bloody Butcher, Matt's Wild Cherry, Large Pink Anna(2), Lime Green Salad, Honkin' Big Black Cherry, Jaune Flamme and Paul Robeson(2) (13 ounces) for a total of 45 tomatoes.
We harvested six new tomatoes today! I forgot to mention that Orange And Green Zebra and Big Zebra were maturing. Patio was mentioned earlier but the tomato was too bad to count. Black Krim(1) and Dr. Wyche's Yellow were surprises.
The Paul Robeson(2) tomato looks beautiful!
My wife will check some of the tomato plants with leaf curl damage and poor growth and may pull some tomato plants today or tomorrow.

Harvested Five New Tomatoes!
Today's harvest includes 8 SunSugar, 7 Stupice, 7 Black and Brown Boar, 6 Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, 6 Husky Cherry Red(1), 4 Bloody Butcher, 4 Paul Robeson(1), 4 Lime Green Salad, 4 SunGold(1), 4 Matt's Wild Cherry, 3 Black Krim(2), 3 Jaune Coeur de Pigeon, 3 Husky Cherry Red(2), 2 Southern Night (6 ounces) (new), 2 Creme Brulee, 2 Honkin' Big Black Cherry, 2 Jaune Flamme, 2 Black Seaman(2), 2 Green Grape, Paul Robeson(2) (11.5 ounces) (new), Large Pink Anna(1) (new), Green Zebra(2) (new), Garden Peach (new), Kellogg's Breakfast (7.5 ounces) (new), Indian Stripe and Large Pink Anna(2) for a total of 83 tomatoes.
The tomato plants have been watered over yesterday and today. All the container plants got fertilizer and then it was watered in.
Five new tomatoes were harvested today! Paul Robeson(2) looked beautiful. Kellogg's Breakfast looks good but may have been harvested a day too early. That's not much of a problem at all. Southern Night looks interesting. The most unusual is Green Zebra(2). As I've mentioned earlier, it's red so it's not Green Zebra(2). The tomato had what looked like a wormhole (it's obviously a hole but I doubt it's a wormhole) so the tomato will be unusable. Until I can determine what the real tomato is, I'll keep the Green Zebra(2) moniker.
This heat wave (three days over 100 degrees) are pushing the tomatoes toward maturity. The tide is coming in!
Speckled Roman and Sweet 100 have tomatoes growing on them!

Harvested Large Pink Anna(2) and Chocolate Stripes(2)!
Today's harvest includes 10 Husky Cherry Red(2), 8 SunSugar, 7 Chocolate Stripes(2) (9.5 ounces, 6.5 ounces) (new), 7 Husky Cherry Red(1), 7 Matt's Wild Cherry, 4 Stupice, 3 SunGold(1), 3 Black and Brown Boar, 3 Green Grape, 3 Creme Brulee, 2 Indian Stripe, 2 Bloody Butcher, 2 Paul Robeson(1), 2 Japanese Black Trifele, 2 Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, Large Pink Anna(2) (6 ounces) (new), Black Cherry, Jaune Coeur de Pigeon and Volunteer(1) for a total of 69 tomatoes.
I spent a long time this morning fishing out all the maturing tomatoes from the middle of the two Husky Cherry Red plants. It's surprising how dense these plants can get! I got all the mature ones out after about 10 minutes or so.
My wife has been using cloth to cover some of our tomatoes. She told me that SunGold(2) was wilting, but a protective cloth and some water and the plant was fine. After today's harvest I asked her to put a cover over Chocolate Stripes(2) as the tomatoes were getting scalded. She came back with seven of the tomatoes! I was quite surprised. She stated that they were ready for harvest. She was right, they were soft. Too soft. My wife will use these tomatoes for sauce.
Yesterday it got up to 101 at Pierce College. Today it was only a few tenths of a degree cooler for the high temperature.
Being that we picked three plants pretty clean of maturing tomatoes, I don't expect tomorrow's total to be as high as today.
Maturing tomatoes include Cassidy's Folly, Kellogg's Breakfast and Green Zebra(2). Except Green Zebra(2) isn't Green Zebra(2) -- the maturing tomato is red!

Harvested Black and Brown Boar!
Today's harvest includes 8 SunSugar, 6 Matt's Wild Cherry, 3 SunGold(1), 3 Creme Brulee, 3 Husky Cherry Red(2), 2 Black and Brown Boar (new), 2 Bloody Butcher, 2 Volunteer(1), 2 Stupice, 2 Paul Robeson(1), Black Cherry, Japanese Black Trifele, Golden Mama, Vorlon (9 ounces), Husky Cherry Red(1), Indian Stripe, Pierce's Pride, Honkin' Big Black Cherry and Jaune Flamme for a total of 42 tomatoes.
I spent a fair amount of time in the evening staking and taping tomatoes under the lemon tree. The tomato plants in this section are notable for two things. 1) They are very tall. Most are 5 1/2 to 6 feet tall. A branch on Orange and Green Zebra is nearly seven feet tall. Already. Fruit is everywhere. 2) No harvested tomatoes in this area. The tide is coming...
Yesterday we tried a Lime Green Salad. We both found it a tad mushy, but we also agreed I may have harvested it a bit early.
The nine ounce Vorlon harvested today is a beautiful looking tomato. A typical brown tomato with green shoulders, but beautiful.
More maturing tomatoes include Chocolate Stripes(1) and Black Seaman(2).

Harvested Three New Tomatoes!
Today's harvest includes: 10 SunSugar, 4 Paul Robeson(1), 3 Black Cherry, 3 Stupice, 3 Indian Stripe, 2 Creme Brulee, 2 SunGold(1), 2 Bloody Butcher, 2 Honkin' Big Black Cherry, 2 Green Grape, 2 Volunteer(1), 2 Japanese Black Trifele, 2 Matt's Wild Cherry, Vorlon (new), Haley's Purple Comet (new), Australian Giant Oxheart (new), Golden Mama, Husky Cherry Red(1), Jaune Flamme, Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe, Lime Green Salad and Pierce's Pride for a total of 48 tomatoes.
Haley's Purple Comet was a bit of a surprise. I noticed it yesterday evening. The mature tomato was well hidden. As you now know, I decided it was ripe enough to harvest.
More plants have tomatoes that are maturing. They include Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, Black and Brown Boar and Paul Robeson(2). I'm sure there are others not listed here.

Harvested Pierce's Pride and Lime Green Salad!
Today's harvest includes 5 SunSugar, 3 Stupice, 3 Volunteer(1), 3 SunGold(1), 2 Pierce's Pride (new), 2 Black Cherry, 2 Paul Robeson(1), 2 Indian Stripe, 2 Japanese Black Trifele, 2 Husky Cherry Red(2), Lime Green Salad (new), Creme Brulee, Husky Cherry Red(1), Green Grape and Quedlinburger Fruehe Liebe for a total of 31 tomatoes.
My wife spent most of the day watering both the front yard and back yard tomatoes. Some of the back yard plants started to lean and I supported/resupported them as best I could without getting too muddy.
Large Pink Anna(2) and Patio are now maturing.

Harvested Paul Robeson(1) and Indian Stripe!
Today's harvest: 6 Stupice, 5 Creme Brulee, 3 SunSugar, 3 Black Cherry, 2 Volunteer(1), Paul Robeson(1) (new), Indian Stripe (new), SunGold(1), Green Grape, Matt's Wild Cherry and Bloody Butcher for a total of 25 tomatoes.
My wife and I had a bit of a tomato tasting last night as well. We liked all the tomatoes except Golden Mama. The flavor for Golden Mama is contained with the skin...which tells you all you need to know about that tomato. The interior was near tasteless. All the others were very good, Black Krim being the best.
Both the newly harvested Indian Stripe and Paul Robeson look good.
You can add Chocolate Stripes(2) to the list of maturing tomatoes.
