Harvested Over 100 Nyagous(1) Tomatoes!

Today's harvest includes 38 Black Cherry(1), 22 SunGold, 13 Snow White(2), 8 Husky Cherry Red(2), 8 Snow White(1), 6 Nyagous(1), 5 Indigo Apple(1), 5 Husky Cherry Red(1), 5 Indigo Apple(2), 3 Sweet 100, 2 Black and Brown Boar(2), 2 Tolstoi, 2 Black Cherry(2), 2 Yellow Perfection, 2 SunSugar, Ella's Pink Plum, Red Currant, Redfield Beauty, Chinese Tea, Vorlon, Speckled Roman(2), Delicious (7.5 ounces), Amazon Chocolate, Indigo Rose and Porkchop(2) for a total of 133 tomatoes.

Yesterday's high: 105.1. But the heat wasn't as oppressive and the air was noticeably clearer in the evening. Is the heat wave gripping the area finally going to break?

My wife pulled Berkeley Tie Dye, White Zebra and Noire Charbonneuse(1) from the front yard. Also, Matt's Wild Cherry was severely cut back a few days ago. There's several in the back yard that can be pulled -- beefsteaks, mostly -- but I haven't told my wife yet.

My wife also watered the front yard tomatoes and some of the back yard tomatoes.

Last night my wife cut up Porkchop and Vorlon for dinner. They were both delicious! Winner and winner.

We've now harvested over 2000 tomatoes this month (2010). My prediction for the whole month was 2400 tomatoes and we've reached 2000 before the halfway point. Obviously we'll blow by my prediction but our harvest is currently dominated by cherry tomatoes. As the weather cools, so will the harvest numbers. It doesn't look like it now but we could be down to about 30 per day by the end of the month.

We've now harvested over 2450 SunGold tomatoes (2461) and over 100 Nyagous(1) tomatoes (103) this year.
