Today's harvest: Red Currant and Husky Cherry Red(1) for a total of 2 tomatoes.
I forgot to mention we moved the two currant tomato plants (Red Currant and Yellow Currant) to a more sheltered position underneath the patio cover on Saturday.
I asked my wife "Why move them? SunSugar did well there."
She replied "They're in smaller pots. They're getting too hot in their current location."
Checkmate. She's right.
So we moved them yesterday. I noted they looked a little whitish in color in comparison with the other container plants.
My wife watered the front yard tomatoes in the morning.
I trimmed off the lower branches for all the tomato plants in the back yard in the late afternoon. This was the second time I did this.
I noted that Pink Berkeley Tie Dye(2) and Gypsy had growing tomatoes.
Also, I spent a bit of time training the tomato plants. The branches on the larger tomato plants are growing between one and two inches a day. A plant could be fully "trained" today and need more "training" the next day.
